A Letter to Both Past and Future Me

So hi to anyone reading this, I'm Manasvi or Mans.

The young me was very naive, I was NOT new to coding when i had my very first KWK experience. However, I was very new to such amazing female friendships, women supporting each other in tech. Younger me was scared but also reallyyy excited about this. She met multiple girls, all into various things, with a common ground for tech or one might say code. We found a common denominator for each and every one present in the camp that day, we were all equally excited of whats to come.

Ever since the camp, we have all changed drastically. My love for coding has only increased and has known no bounds since then. I was a high school senior at 17, now almost 20, in my junior year of university, doing a dual computer science undergrad with honors. A great part of this comes from KWK, for giving me the support and confidence that I could be, can be, ANYTHING I want, as long as I wanted it and did everything I could for it.

To future me, I just really hope we make it, achieve it all, find ourselves in new ways, give back to our community (including returning to KWK as an instructor or anything). I hope what were doing makes us happy, and if it doesnt we’re courageous enough to choose that happiness for ourselves. I hope we change something in this world, make something better, even if by 1%.

To all my fellow KWK girlies, i love you all and i hope we all keep loving and growing together.
